Assistant Payroll Specialist
Full-time 12 month position
The Assistant Payroll Specialist is an integral part of the district’s business operations and the school district as a whole. This position will assist and share in the responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist to insure district employees are accurately paid in accordance with agreements, policies and laws as directed, and the filing and remittance of reports, tax returns, and funds to various taxing authorities, agencies and employee benefit providers are completed timely. Additionally the position interacts with internal and external customers requiring excellent customer service skills.
Requirements:
Payroll processing experience, preferably for 200 or more employees. Payroll certification a strong plus.
External applicants must submit Act 168 Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release form(s); have current Act 34, Act 114, and Act 151 clearances (dated within 1 year of start date); as well as a current health record and tuberculosis test to be eligible to start employment.
